Mixed-Use Development

RGDC’s expertise in site selection, financing, architectural and interior design, marketing, leasing, technological services, and property management ensure the successful development of commercial properties for a variety of uses.

RGDC’s development of Rockefeller Center, begun in 1928, set the standard by which mixed-use developments  are measured. That creation of a “City within a City” incorporated visionary concepts  still in use today and evident in the services offered by New York City’s numerous Business Improvement Districts.

The Rockefeller Center concepts unheard of in the 1930s are still lauded and imitated today, such as an underground delivery system for goods and service personnel, patrol officers and a security force supplementing local authorities, a self-contained sanitation and waste recovery system, and even works of art accessible to the public and interior décor by renowned artists of the time.
