– Outstanding Design

Construction began in the fall of 1999 on 745 Seventh Avenue, a 1,000,000-square-foot office tower in midtown Manhattan that The Rockefeller Group co-developed.

Lehman Brothers, Inc., the global institutional investment bank, purchased the building in late 2001 for its new corporate headquarters. Lehman Brothers employees arrived in 2002.

Rockefeller Group Development Corporation commenced regular building management and operations in December 2001 for Lehman Brothers, now Barclays Capital. Final construction was completed in 2001.

The outstanding design by world-renowned architects Kohn Pedersen Fox takes full advantage of the importance of the site’s strategic location, bringing Rockefeller Center to Times Square at the corner of 49th Street and Seventh Avenue.
