Joseph Metcalfe is Property Manager for 1221 Avenue of the Americas, the McGraw-Hill Building, where he manages the building staff and contract personnel. His background includes experience in all aspects of the real estate industry, including maintenance services, sales, operations, management, administration, and finance.
Mr. Metcalfe first joined the company in 1992 as a director of the Cleaning Division, successfully reorganizing the in-house operations for the Rockefeller Center Landmark properties. He subsequently managed several Class A properties of over one million square feet for Tishman Speyer Properties, such as 45 Rockefeller Plaza and 666 Fifth Avenue. Mr. Metcalfe re-joined Rockefeller Group Development Corporation in 2002, serving as a Property Manager of 1211 Avenue of the Americas before transferring to 1221 Avenue of the Americas.
Prior to joining the company in 1992, Mr. Metcalfe held extensive positions of increasing responsibility in real estate maintenance. He served with several major international corporations, including Temco Building Maintenance Inc., and International Service System Inc.
Mr. Metcalfe holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Baruch College, and he holds an MS in accounting and an MBA in international business from Long Island University. He is a member of BOMA and holds an RPA designation from the BOMI Institute.
