Robert R. Shults, Jr. is Senior Vice President, Design and Construction, Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC).  Mr. Shults joined The Rockefeller Group in September 2009. As Senior Vice President, he oversees all design and construction activities for RGDC.  This includes establishing RGDC’s contracting and compliance standards and monitoring  the progress of the company’s large-scale construction projects. His responsibilities include ensuring that projects meet or exceed standards for budget, schedule, quality, regulatory requirements, ethical practices, and client expectations.  In addition he provides preconstruction expertise regarding economic and technical the feasibility of proposed projects.

Prior to joining RGDC, Mr. Shults was head of the Design & Construction Core Group for Tishman Speyer Properties from 2005 – 2009. There he provided conceptual design, budgeting and construction support for that company’s pre-development efforts on a global basis. Before joining Tishman Speyer, Mr. Shults served Hines Interests and during his 21 years with Hines was responsible for overseeing development in excess of 15 million square feet of commercial and residential construction.

Mr. Shults holds a BS in Civil Engineering from MIT as well as an MS in Construction Engineering and Management from Stanford University.
